  • "Confidence of knowing I have a ‘quiet strength’ is important in countering that fear of frailty as an older woman, along with the health factor of improvement in bone density."

I am a 73 year old woman who was in Amanda’s weekly class for over 2 years.

Having been to gyms over multiple decades, she is the best trainer I’ve had, both as a 1 on 1 and a group coach. I made significant gains in the prevention of aging muscle loss, evidenced by improved-

•stamina - to more easily lift and carry things, including grandkids, especially going upstairs.

•stability - navigating stumbles, avoiding falls and the ability to get up & down from the floor without using my hands.

•confidence of knowing I have a ‘quiet strength’ is important in countering that fear of frailty as an older woman, along with the health factor of improvement in bone density.

Her teaching plan is well thought out. Incorporating upper body, lower body training, overall mobility and balance with progressive challenges, modified as needed, for each woman in the group. She helped me progress to a point where I safely lifted a weight beyond my imagination. I very much appreciate that!

  • "During my time in the sessions I have increased strength, improved my balance and flexibility."

I strongly recommend Amanda and the program she developed and designed for women 60+.

Not only does she bring extensive training, knowledge, and expertise, but also the ability to motivate and educate, providing modifications and individual assistance as needed.

During my time in the sessions I have increased strength, improved my balance and flexibility.

The additional bonus was meeting a wonderful group of women and developing lasting friendships.

  • "Amanda is the best combination of expecting a lot of us and also making sure we work around any chronic pain."

Amanda is the best combination of expecting a lot of us and also making sure we work around any chronic pain. She’s excellent at increasing weight at a perfect rate, always scaffolding perfectly. Amanda knows how the body works and seems to keep up with research regarding body strengthening. She’s always prepared, keeps excellent records, and modifies when necessary. I HIGHLY recommend a class with Amanda! We are all so much stronger than six months ago.

  • I am a 66-year-old woman, and I trained with Amanda for approximately 18 months. In that time I grew stronger and more confident in my ability to perform ordinary daily acts that, before I started training, had begun to feel difficult. Now, with Amanda's help, I feel more confident lifting heavy suitcases, furniture and groceries. I feel more stable when hiking on difficult terrain. Amanda worked with me and adapted her training to any physical anomalies that came up - such as plantar fasciitis. She tailored my program to accommodate my physical challenges, ensuring my form was correct If you're looking for a trainer who understands the needs of 'young seniors,' she's the best!
